Warroad Elementary will be the home of an adaptive playground thanks to a local foundation, committed to the Warroad community and school district, who has generously stepped forward to help bring this important effort to life.
The playground will feature adaptive equipment including ramps, wheelchair accessible swings, and a port-in-place surface all which are specifically designed to accommodate people with diverse physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities. Inclusivity through positive social and physical activity together in a safe, welcoming space will foster friendships and a connected community.
There is still more to do—through time, talent, and energy—and we’re excited to come together as a community to make it happen. Mark your calendar for August 2026 and watch for upcoming Community Build announcements as many volunteers will be needed to bring the playground to life.
