Good Morning! Last night we had two events in Warroad. Our Swimming Coop, the North (Warroad, Roseau, BGMR), hosted the Prowlers of Thief River Falls. Hannah Daniels took the top honors for the 200 Yard Individual Medley AND the 500 Yard Freestyle. The relay team of Kayla Dahl, Kyleigh Thompson, Elyza Lilly, and Hannah Daniels would finish first in the 200 Yard Freestyle. The North would lose 80-100. The last regular season swim meet is October 13th vs International Falls. Our Volleyball team hosted the Bagley Flyers in the Warroad gym. This was the first activity/athletic event since Covid-19 started! The Warriors would go on to beat the Flyers in five sets. Warroad started off strong with winning the first set and the Warriors were looking like they would end the game in the fourth set, the Flyers made a comeback. The fifth set went 16-14 in favor of the Warriors and would win their first volleyball game of the year. The next game is Monday vs Roseau at home. On Monday vs Roseau and beyond, we will be allowing spectators into our volleyball games! The guidelines come from the Minnesota Department of Health and Education. The limit is two spectators per athlete and the school has to develop a safe plan for athletes and fans. More details to come later today. We will post the plan on the District website. Have a great weekend!

Dear Parents I just wanted to give you an update on what football and volleyball will look like this fall. The schedules for both are being finalized as we speak. We will post both schedules early next week. Football will have a six game regular season with a post-season and Volleyball will have 14 games with some sort of post-season. Football will start their "first" practice this Monday and they will have their first game on October 9th @ Mahnomen. Volleyball will start their "first" practice on Monday as well and have their first game on October 8th at home vs Bagley. PLEASE REGISTER YOUR SON OR DAUGHTER IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE SO AND MAKE SURE YOUR PHYSICAL IS ON FILE AS WELL. Also, at volleyball games, there will be no spectators. This is a Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and Education guideline. HOWEVER, WE WILL live-stream all home events through our Youtube channel. More details on live-streaming will come. At football games, according to MDH, any outside event will be capped at 250 spectators and we will live-stream the game. More details on how that will work. If you have any questions, please give me a call or email me. Thank you and Go Warriors!
