The Native American Education Program
I would like to congratulate our five senior Native American Students and their fellow 2025 graduates. The Native American Students were honored and celebrated during a beautiful celebratory Banquet last week Wednesday, With Warroad Public School Superintendent, Dean of Students, Teachers, AIPAC, family and Friends. Celebrating each and everyone of them, amplifies our voices and celebrates their resilience and recognizes their milestones. We celebrate their achievements and honor their cultural heritage. We began with a traditional smudge, blessing and honor Drum song. Dinner, gifts, speeches and presentations.
Each student was gifted a beautiful Ojibwe floral stole, wrapped in a beautiful Warrior blanket, given Warrior certificates that honors their determination, perseverance and attributes that embodies the Warrior Spirit.
The students were gifted beautiful amazing, beaded graduation caps, made with love and hardwork by Mrs. Desire Freude.
Remember the gift is in the journey! We wish you all the best with your future endeavors.

Seniors Emma and Caroline are pictured here teaching Ms. Sarah Casperson's kindergarten class about planet earth, recycling, and enjoying a "dirt cup" snack because soil health is important. They did this teaching for their service learning project in college in the schools environmental science. Other service learning projects done this year involved recycling in the home, school and Warroad buisnesses, planting projects, building of wood duck houses, garbage clean-ups along roads and the school, clothing upcycling projects, work in the school forest and skate path, and a food waste awarnesses project.
