Warroad Elementary had a blast joining in on last week's Frosty fun, participating in various dress-up days, and having some special high school guests visit our classrooms. Don't forget the fun continues tomorrow with "Read A Shirt Day" (wear a shirt with words), as we celebrate "I Love To Read Month."

The Native American Education Department, the American Indian Parent Advisory committee, Warroad Public Schools, and the community of Warroad would like to recognize and express our gratitude to Mr. Donald Kakaygeesick for his design and creation of the “Warroad Warrior Logo” that we proudly represent.
We would also like to thank Amy McPherson, an Indigenous artist from Manitoba, she is the creator of Fashion Ikwe Designs, an authentic Indigenous Fashion company, for her work in helping us create the Ojibwe Floral design concept for the Warroad Native American Apparel.
The Native American Department commends the amazing team collaboration, and efforts of all the artist’s, along with Shawna Grapentine, Danielle Smith, and The American Indian Parent Advisory Committee. They together created our beautiful Native American Education apparel that proudly gives back to our community. All proceeds go directly to the Native American Education Program and our Native American Students at Warroad Public School.
The generated funds provide financial support to coordinate cultural programming, provide resources, activities and events within the school and community of Warroad.
Strong supportive team efforts and collaboration reflects successful programs and events.
The Native American Education Department is very proud to educate and share the rich cultural history of Warroad and will continue to educate the history and the artist of the Warrior Logo, thank you for your continued support.

Warroad Elementary students will skate, walk, and play on the Riverbend Skate Path on Thursday, January 25. Students are reminded to bring warm winter gear including boots and skates/helmets as available. Please keep hockey sticks at home. Hot cocoa will be served to all students free of charge.
Doc's has skates and snacks available for a small fee. Rentals/purchases from Doc's are the responsibility of individuals.
