It’s Homecoming Week for Warroad High School! There are dress up days, fun intramural sports competitions, and a dance planned for the students - see more details by clicking into the blog below! ECFE Kicks off this week for our young families, and we’ve got a plant swap, a community town hall meeting, and more available throughout the week. The weekend brings the annual Scandinavian Fest in Malung, the Warrior Hall of Fame Ceremony, a benefit for a local family, and Oktoberfest at Lake of the Woods Brewery! This will include a chili cookoff, BINGO, German meal fundraiser, LIVE music, and Steinholding! So much going on this week in Warroad!!

Picture day for Elementary/ELC is Monday, September 25th!
Starting next week we will be launching our "Orange Shirt Day Awareness"
shining a light on the initiative to support "Every Child Matters" Various activities will take place in the school with the staff & students along with the sporting events.
Apparel is available to purchase, a percentage of the proceeds will go back towards Warroad's Indigenous Education Department. (Warroads Indian Education)
We are also slowly introducing the name of the Indian Education Dept.

September is Suicide Prevention Month — a time to raise awareness and discuss this highly stigmatized topic. In addition to shifting public perception, this month is used to spread hope and vital information to people affected by suicide.

The Warriors continue on with their Fall Sports season, offering plenty of opportunities to cheer them on this week! Students in grades 3-6 can even join in for a Fun Run before Monday’s Cross Country meet! Folk School Warroad has another class offering this Tuesday, there is a guest speaker in Roseau on Thursday, and a handgun shoot at WLRSC on Saturday!
