This week our 5th graders participated in a 6th grade orientation day as they prepare to transition to high school next year. The day included time learn key info about high school, meet their 6th grade teachers, and do a scavenger hunt style tour around the high school...all in the hopes of helping ease those middle school nerves. They capped their day off with a trip to Scoops!

The Warroad Minnesota Honor Society provided all seniors a chance to present an Honorary Diploma to the staff member, coach, or teacher who's most impacted their education as a Warrior. These were given out yesterday with lots of smiles and a few tears! 💛 #BestTeamEver

The Native American Education Program I would like to congratulate our five senior Native American Students and their fellow 2025 graduates. The Native American Students were honored and celebrated during a beautiful celebratory Banquet last week Wednesday, With Warroad Public School Superintendent, Dean of Students, Teachers, AIPAC, family and Friends. Celebrating each and everyone of them, amplifies our voices and celebrates their resilience and recognizes their milestones. We celebrate their achievements and honor their cultural heritage. We began with a traditional smudge, blessing and honor Drum song. Dinner, gifts, speeches and presentations. Each student was gifted a beautiful Ojibwe floral stole, wrapped in a beautiful Warrior blanket, given Warrior certificates that honors their determination, perseverance and attributes that embodies the Warrior Spirit. The students were gifted beautiful amazing, beaded graduation caps, made with love and hardwork by Mrs. Desire Freude. Remember the gift is in the journey! We wish you all the best with your future endeavors. Miigwech ! Native American Education Program Coordinator Danielle Smith & Native American Education Program Liaison Shawna Grapentine
